Project Statement

“How Do You Feel?” is an installation that focuses on the nervous system. Where the nervous system is the body’s command center, the installation will be made to expand the experience of understanding one’s feelings through touch, smell, and auditory activations.

The objective of “How Do You Feel?” is to encourage and invite exploration without relying on sight, opening up a discussion of how much do people really trust their feelings.

As a fine artist, primarily specializing in oil painting and capturing the emotions of how people feel– curating a space that allows visitors to be  a part of the painting with added elements will be a first in my career. I look forward to visitors experiencing smells that may make them feel awakened, refreshed, or possibly calm. There will be sounds that they’ll hear that could recenter their energy. LastlyLasty, feeling textures that meet them with the question, asking” how do they feel?” as well as feeling textures that are a part of the painting for an implied so they could also understand the presence of the subject.

The goal of  “How Do You Feel?” is where mind and matter coexistcoexists.
